- Prescription medications (7-day supply)
- Phone chargers and portable battery pack
- Cash and credit cards
- Copies of IDs, insurance, and medical records
- Change of clothes and sturdy shoes per person
- Water bottles and non-perishable snacks
- Pet carrier, food, and leash
- Load go-bag into vehicle immediately
- Close all windows, doors, and vents
- Turn off gas at the meter
- Leave lights on (helps firefighters see in smoke)
- Move flammable furniture away from windows
- Take irreplaceable items (photos, heirlooms)
- Text your out-of-area emergency contact
- Check on neighbors who may need help
- Gas tank kept above half at all times
- Engine air filter clean
