Getting Started
Open the app and tap Emergency Plan from the dashboard. You'll be guided through adding family members, setting meeting places, and creating grab-and-go lists. Most families complete their first plan in under 15 minutes.
Yes. NomadCore is built offline-first. All 1,300+ emergency guides, your emergency plans, supply lists, saved documents, and downloaded maps work without any internet connection. Some features like family location sharing and cloud sync require a connection when actively used.
No. NomadCore has no subscriptions, no recurring fees, and no ads. Download the app and get access to every feature.
Features & Usage
Go to Emergency Plan and tap the share icon. NomadCore generates a QR code that family members can scan to join your plan. You can also share plans through your family group if you've set one up under Family Sharing.
Open Offline Maps from the dashboard. Navigate to the area you want to save, then tap the download button. You can select a region and zoom level. Downloaded maps are stored on your device and available anytime, even with no cell service.
PackMind lets you track emergency supplies across 13 categories (water, food, medical, tools, etc.). Add items with quantities and expiration dates, and PackMind will alert you before anything expires. You can also share your inventory with family members.
NomadCore's 1,300+ procedures are sourced from 56 trusted references including U.S. military field manuals, medical references, FEMA guidelines, Red Cross protocols, and government emergency management agencies. Every guide includes its source for verification.
Privacy & Security
NomadCore uses AES-256 encryption for sensitive documents stored in the Document Vault. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud features like family sharing use encrypted connections, and we follow a minimal data collection policy. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can delete your account from within the app at Settings > Account & Profile > Delete Account, or use our web deletion form. Account deletion permanently removes all cloud-synced data. Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.
Troubleshooting
Try these steps:
1. Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Close the app completely and reopen it.
3. Restart your device.
If the issue persists, email us at support@nomad-core.com with your device model and a description of the problem.
Make sure notifications are enabled for NomadCore in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > NomadCore > Notifications. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > NomadCore > Notifications. Also check that you've set expiration dates on your supply items in PackMind.
