Procedure:

1. Memorize the Twelve Points of the Scout Law:
- A scout is trustworthy.
- A scout is loyal.
- A scout is helpful.
- A scout is friendly.
- A scout is courteous.
- A scout is kind.
- A scout is obedient.
- A scout is cheerful.
- A scout is thrifty.
- A scout is brave.
- A scout is clean.
- A scout is reverent.

2. Practice living by these principles daily in actions and decisions.
3. Reflect on how each point applies to personal behavior and interactions with others.
4. Use the Scout Law as a guide for moral and ethical conduct.
5. Share the Scout Law with other scouts or individuals who may benefit from its teachings.

Procedure:

1. Read about Abraham Lincoln's life: Every Boy Scout should thoroughly read the story of Abraham Lincoln's life to understand his values, character, and achievements.
2. Understand his background: Learn how Lincoln was born in the backwoods of Kentucky, had limited formal education as a boy, and fought for his own education by borrowing books and studying at night in a log cabin.
3. Appreciate his perseverance: Recognize how Lincoln worked hard to achieve an education in law, became an advocate in Illinois courts, and eventually became President of the United States during one of the most challenging periods in American history.
4. Learn from his leadership: Study how Lincoln maintained the Union during the Civil War, showed strength, sympathy, and a breadth of mind that earned him respect from both soldiers and political opponents.
5. Reflect on his character traits: Understand Lincoln's sincerity, wisdom, and bigness of heart as demonstrated through his actions, decisions, and interactions with others.
6. Emulate his values: Strive to live by the same principles of honesty, integrity, chivalry, and service to one's country that Lincoln exemplified throughout his life.
7. Apply lessons in daily life: Use Lincoln’s example as a guide for personal conduct, leadership, and commitment to doing good deeds and contributing positively to society.
8. Inspire others with his legacy: Share the story of Abraham Lincoln with other scouts and encourage them to follow his path of hard work, dedication, and service to one's country.

Loyalty is a key virtue for a scout, as it reflects his commitment to his home, parents, and country. A historical example of loyalty was shown by Charles VIII at the Battle of Foronovo. He gave nine of his bravest officers complete suits of armor identical to his own. This act outwitted enemies who sought to kill him during the battle. Every time these officers were encountered, they were mistaken for the king, and their devotion to this honor demonstrated their loyalty.

Steps to Show Loyalty:
1. Be faithful to your family, home, and country.
2. Stand by your commitments and responsibilities with dedication.
3. Emulate the example of those who have shown unwavering loyalty in history.
4. Support others in times of need, just as the officers supported Charles VIII.

Duty to God is a fundamental principle for scouts. A scout should believe in God and respect religious teachings. In the past, knighthood was a deeply religious ceremony where knights considered themselves servants of both their king and God. Before being knighted, young esquires spent the entire night before the ceremony in prayer, fasting, and vigil.

Steps to Respect Religious Convictions:
1. Recognize that there are many religions in the world, but they all worship the same God.
2. Show respect for others' religious beliefs and customs, even if they differ from your own.
3. Avoid mocking or belittling other people's faiths.
4. Strive to live by the highest moral standards that your religion teaches.
5. If you meet someone of a different faith, acknowledge their efforts to do good and respect their beliefs.

Purpose: To recognize the importance of religious obligation in the development of a Boy Scout.

Procedure:
1. Acknowledge that no boy can grow into the best kind of citizenship without recognizing his obligation to God.
2. Understand that the first part of the Boy Scout's oath or pledge is: "I promise on my honor to do my best to honor my God and my country."
3. Recognize that the acknowledgment of God as the ruling and leading power in the universe, and the grateful acknowledgement of His favors and blessings, is necessary for good citizenship.
4. Understand that this religious recognition is non-sectarian and applies to all boys regardless of their faith (Catholic, Protestant, or Jew).
5. Recognize that the organization or institution with which the Boy Scout is connected should give definite attention to his religious life.
6. If a Catholic Boy Scout, the Catholic Church is the best channel for his training.
7. If a Hebrew Boy Scout, the Synagogue will train him in the faith of his fathers.
8. If a Protestant Boy Scout, the church of which he is an adherent or member should provide religious education.
9. Understand that the Boy Scouts of America insist on clean, capable leadership from scout masters who have a distinctly helpful influence on the boy scouts.

Prophetic warnings have been given regarding the behavior and fashion choices of Church members. These warnings are meant to encourage individuals to align their lives with spiritual principles rather than worldly trends.

Steps to Recognize and Address These Warnings:
1. Study prophetic teachings related to dress, behavior, and moral standards as outlined in scriptures such as Isaiah 3:1–26.
2. Reflect on personal choices regarding fashion and lifestyle, considering whether they align with the values emphasized by Church leaders.
3. Seek guidance from spiritual leaders, including prophets, apostles, and local church authorities, to understand how to live in accordance with divine expectations.
4. Make intentional changes where necessary, such as adjusting clothing styles or removing adornments that may be seen as excessive or contrary to spiritual principles.
5. Encourage others to do the same, fostering a community that prioritizes righteousness over worldly trends.

Warnings and Contraindications:
• Ignoring these warnings may lead to spiritual consequences, as emphasized by past prophets such as Wilford Woodruff.
• It is important not to dismiss or mock these teachings, even if they seem outdated or overly strict.

• The goal is to build up the 'Zion of God on the earth' by living in harmony with divine principles.
